We made two trips to our pediatrician this week, and lillian was an amazing helper both times. Today was so sweet. Elle did great with her second exam of the week (mommy worrying her blisters were too numerous to be hand foot mouth). She still really doesn't like her ears examined (like most kids her age!).
The doctor took out the tool and as soon as Eleanor saw it she knew what was coming and started crying. Lil jumped up and said "no, my turn, my turn!" Our doctor said"oh should we look in your ears first?" To which lil replied "yes please!". So he faced lillian towards Elle and told Elle to watch, praising lil for doing a great job. Then it was Eleanor's turn. I expected screaming (so did the doc), but much to our surprise she whimpered a little, but that's it! After he looked at both of her healthy ears, she sweetly looked up at him and said "more?". We all laughed. Lillian then went to Elle and said "you did it dee dee boots! Yay! I love you!" And squeezed and kissed her. :-)
