Pants off dance off!

Like always, we rushed out the door so we could make it early to our event of the day, library story time. Lillian was so excited to go, and after rushing her to the car, zooming to the library and practically running in, we made it. Early. That's just my style! I hate, hate hate being late, and think it is so rude when I am. Well, we started off with a boom. When I took lillian out of her carseat, I noticed her clothes were the slightest bit damp. I attributed it to a malfunctioning sippy cup, and we went on our way. I got both Elle and lillian inside for story time. They start out with about twenty minutes of free play. As Elle tried unsuccessfully to eat the raw oatmeal being used for scooping and pouring, I noticed lillians pants getting wetter and wetter. Upon inspection, I expected to see a sideways or very very full diaper. Nope. A sideways diaper would've been better than this. My barely two year old, who isn't potty trained, had NO diaper whatsoever. Instead of finding a diaper, I found a nakey little booty. I took her in the hallway planning on diapering and leaving, but upon her sweet little pleas of "pay, pay, pay?", and "peas?", I decided that if she didn't sit down we could stay. She stood the entire rest of the program, bless her little heart. She danced her little heart out, loved the books and gave Elle lots of little kisses. At the end, I thought we had survived another story time. The parachute was out and being wildly shaken by twenty or so exuberant toddlers. Lillian decided she wAnted to try, but as soon as she touched the parachute, it startled her. She ran to me, and attempted to climb up my leg. At that point I had on stretchy, workout like pants on. She climbed, and down they went, to expose my underpants to twenty busy, thank goodness, toddlers and their mama's. Only half of my pants came down, and only a few moms noticed. I noticed though. We promptly left, and when I went back the following day for a fun casper babypants concert, I wore jeans. With a button.

Grammy comes to visit!

We had a GREAT time with my mom, and were sad when she left! Crazy to think that the next time we see her, we'll have our second little girl soon thereafter! We did so many fun things- we went to Seattle for a morning (since Lillian has afternoon naps still) and went to the top of the space needle. We were both really a little scared to go to the top, and actually disappointed to find it wasn't at all scary! Towards the end of walking around it, we both felt like our legs were rubber bands though! We went to Alki Beach after that, and had a fun little picnic. We also got to head out to Owen Beach, which is right by our house, hang out down in the Harbor, play at home with Lillian, and do some fun Mom/Daughter stuff thanks to Tom! We went shopping and got our nails done! So much fun. Thanks to my mom, Tom and I got to go on a super long and much needed date! Tom surprised me with a fun Ferry ride to Seattle, where we walked around, went shopping, and had a really nice dinner at Elliot's Oyster House. It's so nice to have time together! It was wonderful having her here, and we can't wait to see her again! We're still enjoying the Casa Molina tortillas she brought with her on her carry on! Ha ha! Thanks Mom!!!!! :)

Yet another beach day...... Owen Beach!

Who would've ever thought- another beach day! Lillian had so much fun. This time we had some great friends in town (Christian and Kirsten), and we all had a blast. Lillian's favorite thing was to collect rocks, sometimes attempting to eat them, but usually putting them in her sand bucket. After watching all 4 of us skip rocks on the sound, she decided she'd give it a try. Her attempt at throwing rocks, turned into dropping them at her side, and all of us cheering for her. She was VERY proud of her rock throwing/skipping skills. Love that girl! She also spent a lot of time pushing her stroller like a big girl! As Lillian was walking down the walking path, I noticed a large bumblebee on her shirt. Instead of calmly getting it off, I ran to her screaming, terrifying the poor girl (not knowing if she's allergic or not), swatting the thing off of her, only to have it fly right back onto her, this time trying to get under her hat! I really freaked then, scooping her up and swatting it off, meanwhile Lillian is screaming in horror. Thinking I was successful, I started sprinting away, only to have Tom point out that it was on my pants! I then put Lillian down, swatted it off, and sang "I'm squishing up a baby bumblebee!" Just kidding on the song, but he really did get squished! ;)

Trip to Narrows Beach

So one of Lillian's favorite outings happens to be going to the beach! We all love it, in fact, especially on sunny warm days! The Narrows Beach is pretty close to our house, and has a wonderful view of Tacoma and the Narrows Bridge. Only problem is that the beach is very steep, and a little muddy, so we always end up going home in just a diaper, and with sand ALL over the car! It's totally worth the joy she experiences though :)

Baby Bump!!!!!!

Finally! A picture of my baby bump from our beautiful second little girl! I have been trying, and failing, at taking my own baby bump pictures (although one came out alright), until I finally gave in and had Tom take some for me :) These are from 22 and 23 weeks along! As a side note, I LOVE Lillian's hair in the Pebble's Do! :)

My own belly portrait ;)

New at this!

Ok, so I've been wanting to learn to blog for a long time, and FINALLY decided to try it out! I though it would be fun to post pictures of our growing family, so that we can keep everyone up to date. Hope you enjoy it! :)

One month pics!

Lillian was born in Tucson, Arizona. Here are some pics of her first month of life!
