Missing posts

Just in case anyone has noticed that some posts are unfinished, they were at one point complete, but since I do these on my phone sometimes odd things happen.

My favorite that got deleted was about our snow week, where we were all house bound. We got a lot of snow for here, which isn't really much. Normally in a year you can expect around as much as we got in a few days. We ended up with around nine inches!

Lillian and daddy made a "daddy sosty sowman", and as they were about to come in, lillian asked for a "dee dee sosty." So of course being the sweet daddy he is, he made one for her. Elle enjoyed the snow also, and cried when we went inside. Later lillian noticed we were missing mama sosty and asked to make one tomorrow. :-). Every morning she checked if sostys were still there, and when they finally melted, she just said sweetly, "bye bye sosty, see you tomorrow!", which to her means see you sometime in the future. So sweet.

Mommy/lillian time!

Yesterday we had to.get out of the house, so we headed to the y. I thought an afternoon of swimming would be fun for lillian, and I knew Elle would enjoy playing at nursery. Lillian had so much fun, especially considering she was terrified last time we went! I think somehow she turned part mermaid from the last time we had gone. She was getting in and out on her own, blowing bubbles, jumping in (to me of course), and had a smile the whole time. The best part was that she kept saying "yay mommy lillian time!", which is a great reminder to me to spend special time with both her and Elle. Next time Elle gets to have special mommy time. The worker at the y adventure care, where Elle got to play, said Elle had a blast. She played and talked, and even cried when it was time to go (until she saw mama of course!). Lillian saw Eleanor and said "you did it dee dee boots! Yay!". Lillian is already so encouraging and sweet to her. We are more than blessed by them. Lillian woke up today asking if we could go "mommy lillian swim time one more time today?". So sweet. I told her not to worry, and that we would have lots of fun mommy lillian times to come.

Elle woke up not feeling so hot so not much to report today! She's ok, just wants to sleep on me all day. Poor girl. Lillian is very concerned and told me she wanted to "hole dee dee boots" and "walk to doctor." Sweet.

Dance party!

Lillian and Eleanor love to dance. Especially Eleanor, which really motivates lillian to dance too. Today we had just gotten up from naps, and were getting ready to head out for errands. The music happened to be on while I started a load of laundry. I heard lillian saying "dee dee, hole my hand!" I peeked out of the laundry room, and there they were, bouncing up and down dancing together and holding hands, with huge grins. Those grins turned into giggles. Pretty soon Eleanor was tired so she sat down. Lillian bounced over to her and said "stand up, dee dee! More dance!", as she pulled on Eleanor's hands to try to coax her up. Eleanor did dance a little more, then when they were both done, lillian gave Eleanor the sweetest hug. Best friends for life.

Paint and play

Today was a fun busy day! We are starting our house remodeling, and by we, I mean tom. :-) he painted a kitchen cabinet and it looks great. Lillian of course wanted to help, and did a great job! She even painted her hair, and her arm!

Later that night, Eleanor got on her tricycle, and lillian spent about 15 minutes pushing her around. What a great sister. Eleanor would cry when lillian would stop so lillian had to keep it going. Such sweet best friends. :-)

Catch up and sosty!

Well, I missed a few days, but they were pretty low key days. The most important happened yesterday, when we got enough snow to make a sosty snowman!

Lillian has been checking every day for snow out the window and it happened to be her lucky day! We all got bundled up,

Tale as old as time!

We took the girls to a little kid friendly viewing of beauty and the beast today and it was perfect. They keep the lights on, don't turn the volume super loud, say its ok for kids to get up and walk around, dance and make noise, and allow you to bring snacks of your own if your kids need special snacks. They BOTH wanted to wear princess dresses which was adorable!!!!!!! We got popcorn and cookie dough candy and they loved that. The movie is so sweet, lil watched the whole thing. Elle cruised around eating popcorn and cookie dough candy for the first half hour, then slept soundly the rest. After we left, lillian kept saying "I'm belle! I'm beauty!" Which was super cute. :-). We went out for teriyaki after, and had a great fun family morning. We love our little beauties! Ps- even though it looks like Elle is sleeping in one of the pictures, she's just blinking from the flash. :-)

Charlie I missed you! And that?

Today was a loooong day. And by long I mean tiring, exhausting and a little productive. Lillian's newest thing is to run to tom when he gets home and say "daddy! I missed you!". Well, this afternoon she hugged Charlie and told him she missed him. So cute.

Elle loves to ask what everything is. She says "dat?", points at something and looks curious. So cute! Then she tries to repeat what you said.

No matter how loooong the days, these girls are always such fun. They brighten everything up.

This is a pic of them trying on hats, which they are both into. Lil dressed herself by the way, just call her pippi longstocking. :-)

A post a day, starting today!

Well, seeing as how I meant to start this Jan 1st, now is better than never! My goal is to post every day, a pic of the girls and a little memory of the day. Sometimes they will be short, and sometimes long. So, here is the entry for today!

We had a really fun day today at home. We took down our Christmas tree, and much to my surprise the girls loved doing it. Lillian wrapped ornaments in bubble wrap while Elle, well, tried to eat the bubble wrap. :-). Eleanor did like throwing the non-breakable ornaments back in the box, so that was helpful. Once the tree was down, lillian got her pretend vacuum and started cleaning.  :-). Great little helpers!
